Current Projects

The Denizens project I have been working on, no one seems to be interested in it.  I have put it on temporary hiatus as I turn back to an old love of mine.  Creature Design.  I am going about it a complicated way and creating an entire setting where humans are merely visitors.  It's fantasy based, and I am also making a tabletop RPG system to go with it.

Other news, with props.  My work place is having a halloween contest between departments.  My department has the theme of "Super Heroes"  I have been roped in with 3 of my co-workers to dress up as the ninja turtles.  I am tasked with making the shells.

I am going to do it out of EVA foam to make them light and inexpensive.  I will post progress pics.  Going to get started tomorrow.

Nurgling!

New in the shop, just a joyous blob of plague ridden joy.  Was made to use as a prop for a Nurgle Cultist costume for Dragon*Con 2010, but my hands were full with the oversized chainsword so has just been a desk decoration since then.

Shop is back open

The store has been on hiatus for a while, but opening it back up.  First item is some more mixed media wall art.

Some old props will be going in the store later tonight as well as some progress pics on the latest costume adventures.  I need to learn to balance craft and blog time so this place isn't so empty!

New work area

So, moved to new place, have the new craft room set up.  Lots of shelves, a 2'x6' table with its own storage, and lots and lots of random bits.





Also did some painting on my little Tyranid for the Genestealer Magus staff

I finally have the craft area aka "The Lab" set up at the new house and thrown some money at tool.s  Right now projects on my plate are needed for this year's Dragon*Con (in no particular order):

1) Zelda Mirror Shield

2) Warhammer 40k Catachan Jungle fighter - machete & ripper pistol

3) Warhammer 40k Genestealer Magus - personal costume for me!

Tonight I will be posting pictures of what is in progress so far and posting WIP pics all the way up to the final products.  I'm excited to finally be able to get back to making stuff!

I'm not dead!

A lot has been going on lately.  I bought a house, got a few projects under works.  This weekend I'm heading out of town but will post pics of the new craft room when I get back.
